From ceb18ea4dd2efb86c1bb4f7aef2a49bf0c6fbb18 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Amir E. Aharoni" Date: Sat, 25 Sep 2021 22:00:56 +0300 Subject: [PATCH] Rename gur to "farefare" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The name "gurenɛ" is used only in Ghana and refers only to one dialect. This language is also spoken in Burkina Faso, and the name "farefare" covers all the dialects in both countries. The activity in this language in translatewiki.net and in the Wikimedia Incubator is higher recently, and this was requested by the contributors to this language. Confirmed with the book De la phonologie à l’orthographe : Le ninkãrɛ au Burkina Faso, Idda et Urs Niggli SIL, 2007 (page 6). --- data/langdb.yaml | 2 +- data/language-data.json | 2 +- 2 files changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/data/langdb.yaml b/data/langdb.yaml index 69b7530..d4f32df 100644 --- a/data/langdb.yaml +++ b/data/langdb.yaml @@ -233,7 +233,7 @@ languages: gu: [Gujr, [AS], ગુજરાતી] guc: [Latn, [AM], wayuunaiki] gum: [Latn, [AM], Namtrik] - gur: [Latn, [AF], Gurenɛ] + gur: [Latn, [AF], farefare] guw: [Latn, [AF], gungbe] gv: [Latn, [EU], Gaelg] # CLDR uses ha for Latin script and ha-arab for Arabic script. diff --git a/data/language-data.json b/data/language-data.json index 5c88979..7ac6b12 100644 --- a/data/language-data.json +++ b/data/language-data.json @@ -1473,7 +1473,7 @@ [ "AF" ], - "Gurenɛ" + "farefare" ], "guw": [ "Latn",
